Riley & Dunlap traces its history to W. B. Whitlow, a Westminster college graduate, who began practicing law in Fulton after graduating from the University of Missouri law school in 1917. In 1957, Whitlow's son Bill Whitlow formed the firm that would later become Whitlow & Riley and, now, Riley and Dunlap. Bill Whitlow practiced law until his retirement in 1986. Charles W. Riley joined the firm in 1963 and practiced law for over forty years, serving as President of the Callaway County Bar Association from 1969-1991, on the Missouri Bar's Board of Governors from 1984-1986, and as a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel.
The Firm now includes attorneys Thomas M. Dunlap, Thomas K. Riley, Joe D. Holt, & Gregory M. Mealy. Riley & Dunlap is Callaway County's oldest and largest law firm and is the only firm to have an "AV" ranking, the highest awarded by Martindale-Hubbell.
Throughout its history, Riley & Dunlap has provided comprehensive transactional and litigation representation to municipalities, governmental officials and agencies, large and small businesses, as well as individuals throughout the State. Riley & Dunlap also has a proud tradition of civic service for charitable and civic organizations.
